HOW It Works
La Pair’e is played with one 54 card deck that contains a standard set of 52 cards plus two Jokers.
A First Card wager is mandatory on any of the 14 card values of Ace through King and Joker. Optional La Pair’e Card wagers can be made on any of the second set of cards. The other optional bets are First Card Red and First Card Black, Any Pair’e and 3rd card Poker hand. First Card wagers can be made in four ways:
1) straight-up on one-card value
2) split on two-card values
3) three-card values and
4) corner on four-card values.
La Pair’e bets are placed straight-up.
The Deal
To begin, players must bet on the First Card wager.
· Three cards are dealt face down, each placed in its respective box.
· Each card is turned face up one at a time and the corresponding wagers are settled.
· The first card corresponds with the First Card wager.
· The second card is the La Pair’e Card wager.
· The third card completes the 3rd Card Poker hand.
